Personality

Disillusioned, cynical, and hyper-pragmatic. Once an idealist, Igor no longer believes in the concept of a Greater Good which is worth fighting for, viewing all factions as essentially the same. Igor is not heartless, and in fact grieves deeply for every single one of his fallen soldiers, who he views as his family. Unfortunately he is, imho, really damn bad at acting on this. There is very little he is above doing if he deems it necessary for his desired ends, including the sacrifice of those very same soldiers.

History

Timeline:
1951: Igor is born in the USSR to a Cossack family and raised by a WWII veteran father obsessed with the Battle of Stalingrad. When he's of age Igor enrolls in the Zeno Arms Academy.
1995: Igor is Vice Admiral of Zeno.
1999: At the time of the Battle of 1999 Igor is Admiral of Zeno. He adopts his first and oldest daughter, Moldir, after she is orphaned.

Abilities

Across the Acheron

Igor can create portals to and from the Underworld. This is usually used to teleport entire armies but has other applications such as summoning shades of his former comrades. This power is not his own but one borrowed from Baba Yaga at a price: the countdown is a lantern of fireflies which is always carried on his person. For every use of his power, a firefly drops dead, and Igor's time will come when all are extinguished.

Wanted CR: Reverse 1999 Main Story and Igor in particular are pretty gravely self-serious overall, so it is admittedly more difficult to imagine the character in typical goofy meme scenarios. Otherwise OTA to canon characters, cross canon, shipping, smut, etc.

magical info: Igor is part-human part-Arcanist, a subrace of humanity with psychological and physiological differences which allow them to cast magical Incantations.
physiological info: Arcanist biology is different on the cellular level. The ability to comprehend and use Arcanum usually comes at the cost of being physically frailer and weaker than full humans, though Igor is yoked af so who knows which half wins out.
